A charming lobby featuring 18th-century-style decor welcomes visitors, and flexible meeting space is available for groups of up to 60. Potomac Hospitality Services sold the hotel property to George Washington University in 1996. PHS was then retained to manage a $3.5-million renovation. Since the renovation, the average daily rate has increased 8% per year, with occupancies exceeding citywide averages for all-suite hotels.
